Job description

Under the responsibility of the division chief, the candidate will be responsible for creating technical drawings, plans and diagrams for various projects. This professional works closely with engineering, production and project managers to transform concepts and submissions into precise and detailed drawings.

Drawings and estimates:

  • Prepare the Corflex estimate as well as the drawings;
  • Participate in the creation of technical documentation;
  • Prepare the breakdown of prices according to the submission;
  • Ensure documentation of awarded or non-awarded projects;
  • Participate in the preparation of bids and cost estimates;
  • Actively participate in pre-project meetings to validate all information.

Technical documentation

  • Update the data in technical documents (spec sheets and estimates);
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide the necessary content for technical documents and the website;
  • Develop installation procedures and user manuals.

The ideal candidate will have the following profile

  • Relevant technical drawing training;
  • (DEC Mechanical Engineering or equivalent)
  • Have very good knowledge of Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks software (an asset);
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and to operate in a constantly changing environment;
  • Demonstrate rigor and dynamism;

Your daily tasks will include:

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the transfer of information between internal customers and manufacturing in the factory. They also have the responsibility to work jointly with project coordinators to be able to deliver projects according to a required delivery date and thus ensure customer satisfaction.

Production Planning

Plan production and schedule based on the receipt of materials, production lead times, and delivery date Verify specific information for each project once in production. Confirm with the project coordinator the installation/shipping date of rails and panels Collaborate with the factory supervisor to increase productivity by predicting the production order of projects to ensure smooth flow through all departments.

Procurement

Proceed with the purchase of special and standard finishes Proceed with the purchase and weekly update of vinyl inventory Plan and verify the receipt of special finishes before starting production on projects Meet with representatives of special products Verify if the requested finishes are included in the cost of the submission Track order receipts Manage claims for non-conforming products with accounting and suppliers

Shipping, Receiving

Add work orders in production and ensure shipment according to schedule Adjust production schedule according to delivery planning with logistics (Toronto, Ottawa, and Quebec) Plan shipments by combining distributor projects

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Ability to deal with tight and often unpredictable or conflicting deadlines

They will be responsible for planning, organizing, launching, and monitoring projects once the sales team has completed the sale. They will need to ensure that all relevant information for the successful implementation of the project is complete and accurate. They are a key element in communication between the client and production.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to start and manage company projects;
  • Organizing meetings during various stages of the project (launch, startup, etc.);
  • Compiling information received by the sales team to validate the resources to be coordinated;
  • Establishing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with all schedules (internal and external), as well as processes and protocols;
  • Writing and updating reports on the progress of work;
  • Providing constant follow-up with various stakeholders during the delivery process, as well as quality checks and documentation;
  • Coordinating the work of installers based on the expected delivery dates;
  • Visiting job sites to validate the compliance of the installed project;
  • Executing appropriate end-of-project procedures and ensuring proper document filing;
  • Suggesting tools to improve the process and the sector;
  • Staying up to date with innovations in project management or the industry.

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in project management or any other related field will be considered an asset;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a project coordinator position;
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector will be considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of project management;
  • Knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Knowledge of File Marker and AutoCad software (an asset);

Your role: What to expect?

  • Delivery planning: planning delivery routes for our drivers and carriers, taking into account time constraints, work schedules, weight restrictions, and customer requirements.
  • Operations coordination: working closely with carriers and drivers to ensure that goods are delivered on time and in compliance with customer requirements. Coordinating purchase orders with various stakeholders. Receiving all orders in the purchase order management system within 48 hours of receiving the material or service.
  • Documentation management: preparing delivery-related documents such as purchase orders, invoices, and transport documents.
  • Customer communication: regularly communicating with customers to ensure that they are informed of delivery times.
  • Cost monitoring: monitoring transport costs and ensuring that deliveries are made cost-effectively for the company.
  • Managing all after-sales service orders to ensure production and efficient shipment.

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • Education in logistics, any relevant professional experience will be considered;
  • 3-5 years in a similar position;
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and very curious;
